Five win Gold Eagle Awardby Rock Products Magazine The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association gave its gold Eagle Award to five aggregate producing sites.Hanson Building Material's Downingtown Quarry, Lafarge North America's Presque Isle Quarry, Vulcan Material's Cabarrus Quarry and Graham Quarry won the top honors in the large operations category. Vulcan Materials Co. received a gold award in the medium category for its Dousman Quarry. Vulcan Material's Avery Sales Yard and Tampa Sales Yard won the distribution yard category. Granite Construction Co., Hanson and Lafarge each won silver awards in the large category. Aggregate Industries, Hanson, Hedrick Industries, Lafarge, Staker & Parson Co., and Vulcan won silver awards for the medium category. Vulcan also won an award in the small category. There were four bronze winners in the small category, 12 in the medium category and six in the large category. |
