Concrete Mixers Sport Images From Higher Education Institutes
North Ogden, UT -- October 9,2003 -- Staker and Parson Companies, the largest producers of quality sand & rock products, ready mix concrete, asphalt, paving, and construction services in Utah, launched a new community program to support local universities and sports teams. The company has teamed with universities and teams across Utah and Idaho to design images for mixers that showcase logos, athletes and campuses--paralleling the feel of the institute.
"Often times marketing initiatives in the construction industry are perceived as boring or irrelevant to the general public," said Scott Parson, VP of Marketing at Staker and Parson Companies. "Our aim with this campaign was to design a creative concept that would show our commitment to both education, sport, and communities that have contributed to our success."
The design is placed on the drum of the Jack B Parson (JBP) ready-mix trucks. Each mixer is decorated in the school/team colors and vividly shows campuses and the logo, or mascot, in the center with athletes on both sides. Athlete images include football, soccer, gymnastics, volleyball and baseball. Mixers have been completed for Dixie State University, Weber State University, Utah State University and the University of Utah. Other schools to be highlighted are Brigham Young University and selected Idaho schools. Local sports teams, including the Grizzlies, will also receive support in means of mixers designed in their look. Staker and Parson Companies covers funding for each mixer.
"When Staker and Parson Companies came to us with this idea, we were excited to test out this fresh concept as we had never before placed wraps on construction vehicles," said Craig Miller of Impact Imaging. "When the first mixer was complete we were surprised visual appeal, sporting school colors and athletes in action. These will be an eye-catcher on the roads, at games and on job sites."
The mixers will be seen throughout Utah and Idaho and will make appearances at football games, parades and other school activities.
